A Waypoint Beacon is a magical structure for teleportation purposes, often seen in a very similar form—if not identical—to the World Portal in Sanctum. A curved stone 'wall', rising up from the ground and moving to somewhat encapsulate the central area where the structure's magicks are channeled. The 'wall' peaks at the side opposite where the limbs of the structure first emerge, and can be seen adorning a sigil of Angela atop said peak. It is through these mystical stone devices that the most distant shards of the world are still yet tethered together.

About

When first discovered, the Beacon is dim and unlit, the only indication of it being special - apart from the unique structure itself - is that of a glowing orange crystal. Once approached by the player, the crystal will shatter and vanish, as the Beacon lights up with magical blue flame-like lights, and becomes active. Once in this state, the Beacon is permanently unlocked for the Player, and can from there on be teleported to via the World Portal.

Beacon unlocks are character-specific, and require to be revisited on subsequent characters to the first.

Most—if not all—teleportation magic in the world of ATLYSS relies on Angela's powers. It is uncertain how the Beacon structures were made, but it is through Angela's magic that these structures still yet operate, even if they are (currently) one-way.
