Colossus

Colossus is the Boss of Normal Crescent Grove.
It is an astoundingly large four-armed golem that was created by the Carbuncle brothers, Alshar and Stezza. It lays dormant when the player first enters its arena, but will awaken and attack once they come near. When it reaches half health, Alshar and Stezza will join the fight in order to protect their precious creation.
Players are required to defeat it during one quest: The Colossus.

Drops
The Colossus drops and an when killed. The Boss Chest that spawns following Colossus' death contains one of the following:
| Weapons | Armors |
|---|---|
Behaviour
If the Colossus is below 50% HP, Alshar and Stezza join the Colossus in battle. The Colossus is immune to knockback.
Giant Laser
Colossus lies down and powers up a laser then fires it forward across the entire stage, facing its target until the moment the laser is fired.
Colossal Rush
Colossus powers up for a moment, then quickly rushes to its target and claps them with both pairs of arms.
Artificial Earthquake
Colossus raises its 4 arms then slams them on the ground, causing a massive shockwave and 8 waves of stone spires that erupt from the ground.
While below 75% HP, Colossus may repeat this attack up to 2 times, and while below 50% HP, Colossus can repeat this attack up to 3 times, as well as follow up with a Giant Laser.
This differs from using the attacks separately as instead of waiting for the "grace period" between attacks he follows up with the attack instantly.
From the Colossus's position, 1 spire wave travels forward, 3 waves travel from each side with slightly different directions, and 1 wave travels backwards. Each wave consists of 6 stone spires. New spire waves are summoned from each slam.
Tactics
| Attack | Counter |
|---|---|
| Artificial Earthquake | Stand directly in front of him and parry shortly after his arms start glowing red. If you stand too close to him, you will parry the hit but still get hit by the shockwave, so make sure to stand a short distance in front of him. If you are a ranged fighter, run and dodge further away. This is his slowest attack. |
| Colossal Rush | Parry once he starts shaking. This is faster than the shockwave. |
| Great Laser | Parry once his eye starts glowing, dodge far away from the boss. This is his fastest and easiest to parry attack. |
Halfway through the fight, the Carbuncle brothers Alshar and Stezza will appear. Try to stay as far as possible from Colossus while taking them out as fast as possible. Luckily, they aren't very tough. Keep an eye on Colossus and beware of his laser and charge attack while doing so. Staying at medium distance when he uses his shockwave is a death sentence.
On death, make sure to run back to the arena as soon as possible, as the passive regeneration given to enemies oftentimes isn't enough to fully heal Colossus, due to his very high health.
Trivia
