Bularr Fortress

Bularr Fortress is an Open Field Zone in ATLYSS. Once home to the peaceful Boarus race, its inhabitants have been transformed into tortured monsters by a witch. The location can be accessed after accepting the quest Finding Ammagon from Enok.

About

Bularr Fortress is accessed via a portal rune in the southeast section of Tuul Enclave. The sky glows red, and aggressive Rageboars infest the land. A short platforming section behind a boar statue leads players to the fortress' front, where they'll come across Ammagon's Hut, inhabited by Ammagon, a lone quest giver. Skill bars and armor can be adjusted in this safe zone before taking on the fortress ahead.

Bularr Fortress is ATLYSS' second open-air dungeon. Players must defeat 3 arenas full of boars and traverse halls full of spike traps to reach the end of the dungeon, where they'll face Galius, the once gentle ruler of Boarus-kind turned foul by dark magic.

Upon entering the fortress, players will find themselves in a courtyard inhabited by Rageboars. Defeating enough of them will spawn Kruole, an elite foe. The first combat arena lies in the room ahead: players must face Rageboars and Boomboars in order to progress. Further in lies the first platforming challenge: players must climb the ledges to the right as they enter, jumping all the way across the hallway until they reach the lever in an alcove on the east end of the hall. This opens the gate to the west, allowing them to flip the next lever to progress further into the dungeon.

The next available combat challenge lies to the east, in a large chamber with a shallow pool of water. Warboars are introduced to the mix in this room: be wary of the spikes affixed to the walls. Once the arena is conquered and the lever in this room is flipped, players will head down the hall to the west for another platforming challenge with a lever at the end. This opens the gate leading further south into the fortress, where a final combat challenge awaits. A spinning pillar of spikes sits in the center of this chamber, while static spikes line the walls. The large room ahead contains the boss fight against Galius, a giant mechanized boar with an elemental gatling gun affixed to his forehead. Defeating Galius spawns a boss chest.

Creeps

The Creeps within the Zone range from Levels 17-26. Kruole is an elite enemy who appears when enough Rageboars are slain in the foyer, before the first ambush.

  • 72025.a3: A temple exists at the far end of Tuul Valley, beyond the enclave. There is no boss.
